a machine
doesn’t understand the creative
translation
process, whereas a human translator
will do
whatever it takes to deliver a
quality text for your business
Dit is Ditto.
Ditto, dat ben ik. Een zelfstandige vertaler Engels-Nederlands die niets liever doet dan spelen met taal. Begonnen als technisch vertaler, maar inmiddels vooral bezig met creatieve teksten. Marketingmateriaal, reisbeschrijvingen, filmrecensies, you name it.

This is Ditto.
Ditto: that’s me. A freelance translator English to Dutch who’s never happier than when she’s playing with language. I started as a technical translator, but these days most of my time is spent working on creative texts. Marketing material, travelogues, film reviews… you name it!
I have an aversion to machine translation engines because I want you to have a translation which is tailored to your target group. And engages the reader. Which is as solid as an oak tree. And flows like a river. There’s no way a machine translation engine can achieve that, no matter how advanced the technological developments.
Do you have a creative text you’d like to have translated into Dutch? Let me take care of it for you. If you’re looking for other language combinations or specialisations, I’m happy to pass on contact information of suitable translators from my network. Free and at no charge. On the house.

Letting
a human
translator
fix that crappy
machine translation
is
far more
expensive
than having him/her translate
your texts from scratch
Still in doubt?
Don’t be. There’s no need. Have a read:

Marion does a lot of translating for Het Vertaalcollectief! We’ve been working with her on a weekly, and sometimes daily basis for some years now, and it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with her on a translation job. Marion is friendly and punctual and delivers excellent Dutch translations. She clearly has an eye for creative texts, but is careful not to lose sight of the tone of voice or target audience. We hope to continue working with Marion for a long time to come!
